And you look at that and obviously the comments, you know, they were very hard.
Like they took a lot of he took a lot of criticism for them overall regarding how Hackett was with
Russell Wilson.
Well, obviously there's a difference how things were with Zach Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett.
To me, for Denver, low risk, high reward type of opportunity.
I mean, you're talking about a former first round pick who went second overall.
Granted, that year's quarterback class, when you look back on it in hindsight, doesn't look the greatest overall, maybe outside of Trevor Lawrence, which...
there's still some questions there.
It's not necessarily a question of Trevor.
It's a question of are the Jaguars going to be the sustainable destination for him forever?
But you look at Zach Wilson here.
This is an opportunity for Sean Payton to kind of rub it in the face of Nathaniel Hack and maybe Robert Sala in that coaching job because Zach was a guy that β
obviously has made a lot of really bad plays during his three years with the New York Jets.
But I do feel like we'd be remiss if we do not talk about it.
Obviously, last year when Aaron Rodgers went down, Zach Wilson had a 4-7 starting record as the quarterback.
And I remember the one thing β we were all tuned into it.
It was that Sunday night football game, the Jets versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
And I tell you what, watching Zach Wilson that game, he was making some plays that I was like, hey, this is interesting.
Like, I haven't seen this guy play like this in the NFL before β
throwing with anticipation, standing clean in the pocket, using his legs to pick up a first down against what we all know is a very good defense in Kansas City.
