So after Kenneth's release, it seemed as if Rosebud was no longer serving him. But before moving, it's widely believed that he committed a crime in the nearby town of Temple, Texas.

Now, once again, during Kenneth's hearing for this offense, he testified on his own behalf.

But in yet another string of luck, Kenneth would be let off the hook again. Unfortunately, the boy that he threatened didn't show up to the hearing. According to the book titled Bad Boy, the young boy's mother feared for her family's safety.
