I was playing music, you know, but I was also, you know, getting messed up a lot of the time.

I was playing music and I was, you know, I was married.

My wife left in, I think it was 88, she left.

And ultimately it was a great act of love on her part to leave me because she didn't want to witness my demise.

And in fact, was a contributing factor to me really realising that...

I had to, you know, change my life.

She kind of, in a sense, said, well, you know, good luck to you, but I'm going to go down this road.

So that's what she did.

With Greg, who was tiling the bathroom at the time.

So, you know, after he left with Linda, it was a terrible thing to get him to finish that bathroom, I tell you that.

I did ask him, I said, right, OK, you might have left with a wife, but can you come back and finish that bathroom?

It was brilliant.

I loved it because you have to remember, I mean, I'd started playing acoustic guitar and singing songs when I was 14.

So I'd had like 15 years of playing solo material, just songs to people.

And Men At Work was really the punctuation mark.

That was really the thing that was different.

It was that four-year period where we had immense success.
