Then you move on, right, to another song.

And we're listening to the song in the studio and we're thinking, this is huge.

You know, this is a great, this is an amazing song.

Now, at no time during that recording or for 20 years later, at no time did anyone say, hey, isn't that that...

kookaburra thing and the thing is the ludicrous part of it is as if we would go oh we've got this song which we think is potentially like a huge song let's take a couple of bars from that other song it's ridiculous but having said that those two bars were in our song and we never disputed that we never said that they weren't it was just the fact that it had become subsumed down under

to the point where it was something else.

It was just part of the framework of that song, which had originally been in the other.

It was innocuously and unconsciously appropriated, but that's apparently not an argument as far as the judge was concerned.

You know, the judge, he's not a musician.

I think my dog had more musical sense than he had.

And he found he gave them the least amount he possibly could.

He didn't give them any of the copyright.

He gave them 5% of the Men at Work version of the song.

But the lesson of it, apart from the fact that I think it was a contributing factor to Greg's death, is that it cost $4.5 million, the court case.

And in the end, they were awarded something like $100,000.

It was really all about that greed.

It was all about they wanted 60% of Down Under and they had these lawyers that said, oh, we can get that, you know.

Why did it hit Greg so hard?
