If the stuff that I commissioned for the paper and for the website this week isn't good, people won't read it.
And...
you build that up over time that there's this trust that people have that when they come to a certain brand they have this understanding that what they're getting is quality it's you know it's reliable
But the one thing I, and this goes back to my old Sunday Independent training back in the early 2000s, personality, you know, having that richness of personality in the content is for me always at the heart of everything that we always have done.
And that hasn't changed and I don't think it will change.
And I was listening to Dave talking about his career, and I could shorten your story down to three words, and I guarantee you it's one that resonates with a lot of people in a lot of careers, but in our career in particular, and that was hard work and perseverance.
And there's no other, there's no magic formula to this.
It's, as Evan said, in your room,
producing I can remember as a 12 or 13 year old watching Wimbledon watching the ashes with a copy book and writing stuff down and not really know why I was doing it and then trying to turn it into an essay I didn't know what I was doing but I was starting the early journey by 16 I was sending stuff into the local paper didn't know why I was doing it and
And over time, I just kept at it and kept at it and kept at it and then, you know, started out and started out in this journey.
And you talk to anybody who's had a career in in this media business, and I think hard work and perseverance will be a core at the core of what they've achieved.

A ton of luck.
Right place, right time.
You walk in, you send an email in, you walk in with a CV one day and it just happens.
And this happens all the time.
And you wouldn't believe it.
It happens to be the day that they were looking for somebody to do that job.
