I think your point is excellent.
We need to highlight this and make people aware of it.
And that's been probably the biggest challenge because this is such an important issue.
yet often other issues of the day crowded out in terms of urgency.
And so we need to continue to focus on this with a spotlight and raise these issues and help people throughout America understand this.
One thing I wanted to tell you about is recently in Philadelphia, they raised the flag of the Chinese Communist Party
honoring the Chinese National Day, which was the foundation of the Chinese Communist Party.
This is in the city where our Declaration of Independence, endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, our Constitution was developed there.
And when you consider that flag raised over the city hall of this great city, it's the
example of how these relationships need to change because it's been totally co-opted by the United Front operation of the Chinese Communist Party influencing here in America.
Yeah.
No, I agree.
This is bigger than an East Asia problem.
The Belt and Road Initiative that's going on all over the world that China is funding, using ports for dual use, military, commercial, their influence around the world is significant.
And so it's more than a regional initiative.
I do agree that we need to get our regional partners stepping up their game in terms of their defenses, and that's something the U.S.
can do, just like we're encouraging NATO to supply more of their own defense.
But at the end of the day, we are competing with a very aggressive global power who is intent on setting the rules for the road, and so we cannot ignore that, and we need to be
vigilant.
And in the case of Taiwan, we need to follow the Taiwan Relations Act to help them defend against China taking them over.
