And, you know, like the internet is incredibly good at that.
There's a million different apps that you can use to find the best, most hidden locations to have the best pastrami sandwich or the best Reichstaffel in Amsterdam or whatever it might be.
And I think we do need to use all of the technologies available
at our disposal.
So that we're not ripped off or conned.
Because like obviously the worst thing you can do if you're in Barcelona is to eat on La Rambla.
Not only is the food disgusting, it's wildly overpriced.
Or the same with Paris and Madrid.
Although I did get a lot of flack off our readers after I wrote a piece about going to Paris recently and I was ripped off.
And I thought it was really interesting actually that when I was ripped off in Paris...
Some people blamed me for eating in the wrong places.
But if we're ripped off in Dublin, we routinely blame the places as opposed to the person who's chosen to eat in those places.
So I thought, well, hang on a second, lads.
We can't have it both ways.
I'm either to blame in Paris or the tourist is to blame in Dublin.
But you can't have it both ways.
Anyway, that's neither here nor there.
Bottom line is, if you eat...
in the shadow of the steps of Rome or if you eat under the Eiffel Tower, you're going to pay through the nose first.
And if you want to do that and if you want to have a beer on La Rambla, it's a lovely experience watching the world go by, watching all the criminals playing the three car trick and all the rest of it.
