His car was broken into, and they stole the radio.

This is back when radios got stolen.

Right.

So somebody stole his radio.

Okay.

So he goes to his father, and his father said – he said, well, my radio was stolen.

He's like, well, I don't know what you – I don't know what you want me to tell you.

He said, you can try and claim it on your car insurance.

So they called the car – their car insurance company.

The car insurance company was like – they said –

whatever your deductible is it's you know like 500 bucks or something and the radio is 350 bucks you know because this is a long time this is 30 years ago yeah and and he was like man and so i remember being at dinner like that night when he heard that and i told my dad my dad who had worked for was working for state farm worked for him for like 40 years and i went i said yeah i said i said you know my friend uh

what was his name arthur i said uh uh you know arthur's car got broken into and they said you know i explained the thing about the deductible because i'm a kid i don't really know anything about a little bit about deductible i was like you probably overheard some things yeah a little thing and i'm like i don't understand you know why wouldn't they pay for it he's like well they they would pay for it they'd pay for whatever it'd be and he's explaining to me and then he looked at he said where was his car and i went it was it was at his house and he said well was it

was it in the driveway or was it in the street?

And I go, it was in the street.

And he goes, and he goes, and he goes, oh yeah, yeah.

He's, he's, you know, he's not going to get it covered.

I said, why does that matter?

And he goes, well, if it was in his driveway, he could claim it on the homeowner's insurance.

Right.

And I went, oh, okay.
