that now this was Tuesday obviously the same day it was announced that Michael Voss had resigned on the morning of the Brisbane Lions game up in Queensland the Blues statement on Tuesday did read Austin had discussions with the club late this afternoon during which time he made the decision to move on from his position in order to allow the club to continue through its current period of transition and we know clubs and organizations do this but the club Graham Wright a CEO in conjunction with Chris Davies the head of football they actually made it clear that Austin would be moving on not the other way around and uh
I suspect without asking anyone directly this question, the fact that things had already blown up at the club with the senior coach had brought this move forward, contain it all in one day, albeit a difficult one day for the club, but to do it together.
But it seems to have shocked everyone at the club, bar those who made the decision.
I think even the outgoing coach was stunned by the news, to be honest.
