Tragically, her naked body was discovered inside of a white trash bag in a wooded area near the Stone Mill Trace neighborhood in DeKalb County. Crime scene investigation supervisor, Key Jimenez, was immediately called out to the scene to assist the two detectives.

Amari's body had been concealed by three trash bags, one trash bag over the top of her head down to her abdomen, another covered up her legs towards her hips, and the last one had been used to wrap around the remainder of her torso, and they were all secured with a long black rope.

For Amare's little body, she was covered in bruises, lacerations, and contusions that were all in various stages of healing. Her ankles had wounds that suggested she had them tied together at one point. And based on how the wounds look, Dr. Downs stated that they happened weeks or even days before her death.
