People were actually excited to do their basic training at Fort Hood. It was even nicknamed the Great Place due to its reputation of taking care of their soldiers and their family members. By the time they moved in, their oldest son, Nadal, was a senior at William Fleming High School. Nadal was described as a very serious student. He rarely ever socialized with students his age, and he never participated in extracurricular activities.
