That is until March 17th, 1987, when a farmer near Kingsbury had been clearing out a piece of land when he stumbled upon the decomposing body of Linda Weldy. She was found near an abandoned railroad track, and it was clear she had been manually strangled.

But years down the road after Larry Hall's arrest, he was looked into as a person of interest. And he even confessed to Linda's murder, but later recanted it. Larry also happened to be in the area at the time of Linda's disappearance. But they eventually came to the conclusion that he was not responsible. At least, they didn't have enough evidence to prove it was him.
