Officers were rushing to the scene, but the wait felt like an eternity. And after that initial bout of gunfire, the house went quiet. Joseph was looking for her. After all, she had been his intended target that night. So he went room to room hunting her down. Eventually, he reached the bedroom upstairs, and that's when he noticed that the bathroom door was locked.

Immediately, officers ran inside the house where luckily they found the children unharmed. It was reported that the girls were traumatized, but everyone was happy to see that they were alive.

With four people gunned down inside of the home, first responders had the difficult task figuring out how to remove the children without them having to see the carnage that had been left behind.
