I think there was a double play to end the game because I wasn't even ready.
I'm still walking around.
All of a sudden, I hear guys yelling because the TV out in the clubhouse was a little ahead of mine.
And I'm like, oh, man.
I said, this must be good.
Yeah, and it was a double play.
No, and I get it.
I mean, wow.
I will certainly say something to somebody at the winter meetings because, you know, again, and it's hard because it's such a small world.
I mean, Mike Sarbaugh was the third base coach for the Mets who I'd been with for 11 years, and we were texting back and forth the last two weeks of the season every day.
I mean, we're friends, and that'll never change.
You know, they wanted us to lose, and we wanted them to lose, but that doesn't get in the way of your friendship.
You know, I was actually a little embarrassed.
I didn't think I deserved it.
And I'm always a little hesitant because I think as a manager, if you're getting an award like that or you're up for an award like that, that means...
The organization, the coaches, the players, I mean, everybody is doing something.
And, you know, you get to maybe stand up and take a bow.
So the best part of it is I get to brag about our guys, which I love.
But I think there is more work to do
When I sat down at the end of the year and I told our guys, hey, we got to do better, I included myself in that.
