I can't begin to tell you how many goaltenders that I've seen over the years, like they're so confident in their technical form and something doesn't go right or something changes and they can't adapt.
Adaptability, and when I say throwing form out the window sometimes,
Is this great a hallmark for a goaltender to find a way to stop the puck as having good technique?
You don't want poor technique, but sometimes you have to throw it out the window.
And some goaltenders over the years, they can't do that.
They can't let their so-called commitment to the form and the style, you know, go when they don't recognize the situation.
I think Jakub Dobysz has demonstrated that,
Not only is he a great competitor, not only does he have the heart of a line, not only is he able to park the mistakes, not only is he able to move forward after not only a loss or a bad goal, he's committed to doing what it takes to help the team win.
And that to me are all, those are the things that matter for a goaltender.
You mentioned Grant Fuhrer.
Those Edmonton owners players all talked about him.
Yeah, he might've let him, but when it got tight and it got important, we knew Grant wasn't letting a weak one in.
Yeah.
I think with Lane and again, you have to, you have to take the qualities and the attributes you have and apply them.
And, you know, I understand what Ken is saying.
He watched a lot of players.
Well,
You know what, I watched Guy Lafleur play growing up too, and I couldn't be like Guy Lafleur because I didn't have any of those skills.
So it was Lane understanding at a young age, okay, this is what I have and this is how I'm going to get an advantage.
This is how I'm going to contribute to the team.
