Danny Hurley, obviously, is one of those types of coaches.
They're playing against one another, coaching against one another tonight.
So here was Hurley yesterday asked about that style of coaching.
And then he would go on to talk about having to coach them hard to get them ready for the real world, which is not easy and obviously comes with a lot of obstacles.
And then at the end, I thought this was pretty good.
Talks about what you don't see as opposed to the guy on the sideline.
I don't know, but I would tell you what the difference would be for me, having gone through it for 15 years.
When we played, parents didn't sit, watch, and essentially comment on everything you're doing and how you're treating the kids.
I felt like our parents dropped us off, and if there was an issue, I felt like my dad would be like, well, what'd you do?
Sure.
Why'd you guys run 15 laps?
Now, if you do that as the coach, it's like, why are you running so hard?
Yeah.
Do they really deserve that?
And then you got, not maybe I didn't deal with it, but you got lawsuits that go on.
It sucks.
It is not like that anymore.
