Well, last night he took the collar over four or three strikeouts, and after the amazing moment that I cried over because an American, when Bryce Harper hits the two-run home run, and now the stage is set, a reeling relief pitcher, the arguably best hitter in baseball up, and a chance to change the narrative and the legacy about his clutch performance or lack thereof.
And what happens in that about Big Mac, remind us?
Yeah, he struck out.
Struck out.
He had a tough night.
And by the way, he wants me to believe that after Aaron Judge struck out and then the game ends the following and he went to Roman Anthony's strikeout, he wants me to believe that he went right back to playing solitaire on his phone and thought nothing of it because the game meant nothing to him.
And I'm having a tough time buying that and accepting that.
That's fair.
I don't think I'm denying that.
Barely made contact, by the way, in the game last night with three Ks and the ground ball to third.
But that's the beauty of sports, that when we start playing for real next Wednesday night, Chris's Mets are 0-0, your Yankees are 0-0, and the debate will rage on all spring and summer, and we'll have fun going back and forth.
