You know, it's a damn if they do, a damn if they don't.
There's no wrong time to make the right move.
24 teams in the expansion era have had three separate six-game losing streaks before they played their 60th game or within their first 60 games, and the other 23 have an average final record of 59 and 103.
That's the road to disaster.
That's a sign of not just a bad team but a terrible team.
And it's even a surprise looking โ some things are a surprise from the preseason expectations, but even from where we are looking back โ
Most of the time when a team has big losing streaks is because they don't have very good starting pitching.
Usually, you'd look at a team that has Michael Wacca and Seth Lugo and some of the guys, you know, the way Stephen Kolick has pitched and Noah Cameron at times, that you'd think that starting staff was too good to lose six games in a row.
