It's taken up half my heart, you know.
I would describe Rodham as speculative fiction where it takes place in a parallel universe.
And I mean, some people have said, oh, it's it's fan fiction, which I'm fine with that classification because it's you know, it's it's clearly fiction.
beast on Hillary Clinton, but the premise is what if she hadn't married Bill?
And so therefore it's impossible for it to be true.
I mean, it definitely without question is fiction.

I definitely think it's fair to ask ethical questions about my decision to write this kind of novel.
And I think for me, the sort of ethical aspect kind of comes in almost before I start writing the novel, where I would never write a novel about a real person where I did not essentially admire and feel great sympathy for that person.
I mean, that's not something I can really prove to someone else, but I know it about myself.
And so if I say I admire Hillary Clinton, and I'm sincerely trying to imagine what the world looks like from her perspective,
for someone with her experiences, I would say that's an act of compassion.
And then beyond that, I, I will say like, I kind of have a free for all and, you know, like let myself write about how it feels to sort of for her to be like kissing someone or going to the bathroom.
And I think, I think there are people who think like, Oh God, like what, why do you do that?
And, and I guess I would say, um,
My fiction in general is very intimate and specific and detailed.
