The Washington National Opera announced today it's leaving the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which has been its home since 1971.
As NPR's Chloe Velpen reports, the opera's departure comes in response to new policies which put a strain on the opera's financial model.

The judge did not say when the order would be issued.

A ceasefire is now in place following three days of fighting in Aleppo between government forces and Kurdish fighters.
The ceasefire, which began on Friday, allowed the militants six hours to leave with their personal weapons, but no fighters left the area in Syria.
The clashes led some 140,000 people to leave their homes.
