Everyone has to slide across, right?

And you're trying to stay compact, keep the gaps narrow.

They go back to point, they go to the other side.

We've all got to transfer 40 yards across the pitch, right?

And you just keep doing that.

And what you're hoping is as it's transferring across, one centre-back moves quicker than the other, the gaps appeared faster.

Somebody switches off, they don't fill it, right?

So then when it comes back into the center midfield player, no, there's gaps appearing.

Also, you're trying to fire balls into little pockets of space because for every pass, we have to react, right?

So if the ball goes in in front of me, I have to come out.

It's only five yards, got to sprint five yards.

He bounces it first time back to where it came from, I've now got to retreat back in, okay?

Somebody makes a run across the front of me,

I'm not sure what's going to happen.

I've got to track it.

So I've got to sprint 15 yards.

All of a sudden, there's a hole now opened up.

Somebody else comes into that hole.

So you're trying to move the low blocker around.

And Man City are incredible at it.
