Hi, David.
How are you?
Well, sorry, I'm carefully monitoring the Katie Taylor ticket sales on your behalf.
So the tickets went on sale at nine o'clock this morning.
There was a couple of pre-sales earlier in the week through the promoter and through some of the sponsors.
Now, Eddie Hearn, who's Katie Taylor's promoter, said after the pre-sale that 40,000 tickets had been sold, which would be...
have had them well on the way for half of Croke Park to be sold before the general sale.
So I joined the queue about 20 minutes ago.
There's 40,000 people ahead of me, and it's now telling me the ticket availability is limited for this event.
So I would think that this, maybe even by the time you and I are finished chatting in a couple of minutes' time, this could well be sold out.
And presumably they'll have seats on the pitch as well.
Yeah, but I would imagine that there's going to be blind spots.
Firstly, I don't know if Hill 16 is fully operational.
Equally, I would say if you're at the back of the top deck of the stands, there might be blind spots to the ring.
So I'm not sure what the official capacity is.
But if there's now 38,000 ahead of me in the queue and 40,000 tickets sold, they're well on the way.
The only caveat I would throw in is I know people were on a pre-sale for...
one of our sponsors during the week and when they got to put the tickets in the basket they were 766 euro each so unless people get spooked but if if the ticketmaster website here is saying ticket availability is now limited uh they're well and truly on the way to a sellout
I thought the opening game as these things go were decent.
Like we had Ray Houghton on Inside Sport last night and he was talking about the fact that 24 hours out from the World Cup you wouldn't have known it was on and then on match day it just kind of exploded into a sea of excitement in Mexico.
