Bob kind of blew up this season after being the linchpin to those cup runs the last couple of spring times, right?

The NHL, not exactly leaders in that department, still got a ways to go there.

But the sport has changed.

Typically, if you made it to a Stanley Cup final, it's because your goalie got really, really hot.

And that can still happen, but you don't need this incredible goaltender to win a Stanley Cup anymore.

These guys kind of come and go now, which is a change.

for the league.

Also, additionally to Carter Hart, why he's even more controversial is, within Canada, he wore a Free Alberta shirt, which is the separatist movement inside conservative pockets in Canada.

And so he's a pariah.

So Alberta wants to leave Canada?

Yeah.

We're used to the separatist movement being the French-Canadian thing.

That's how my family got here.

That's literally how, because my family is Canadian, they're from Montreal.

That's how my family came here in the late 70s was because of the French separatist movement.

Yeah, when I was growing up, there was always talk that Quebec was going to secede and form its own independent country.

Now Alberta has really shifted that conversation.

Kind of like the Conk Republic with Key West, right?

Where they're like, hey, we're going to do our own thing over here.
