Now, I'm in favour of having an Iranian ambassador here, but I was, to put it mildly, surprised there wasn't any ballyhoo about that, given how enmeshed Iran and its proxies are in the misery of the Palestinian people and the impossibility of sorting it out, given the whole complexity and interrelatedness of the situation.
