China says it opposes what it terms Somaliland's collusion with Taiwan as authorities seek its independence.

The Washington National Opera is now the latest arts organization that says it will cut ties to the Kennedy Center as a result of President Trump assuming control over the center's governing board and adding his name recently to the facility.
The opera has been based at the Kennedy Center for more than 50 years.
In a statement to NPR, the opera said it made the decision to end the relationship between
because the center's new policies are causing strain on its financial model.
However, the decision was announced by the Kennedy Center's leadership, and it now says it made the decision to sever names with the opera.
