I think they're just holding in on who's going to be the best player on our board over on the clock.
Personally, yes, it's going to be an edge rusher.
I think Arvel Reese was the name first mentioned more often, and now it's more David Bailey.
And I think the reason is, look...
If you're a team that has proven that you can develop talent, maybe Arvel Reese makes more sense and you take that talent at number two.
But the Jets can't afford to bomb these picks, right?
If they can hit on these next two drafts, the Jets go from being a crappy team that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years to legitimately a really talented, good team.
So do you take the project who's not really an edge rusher until kind of playing that role to a point this year?
Or do you take the guy who's got the built in moves, who's got the motor, who had the 14 and a half sacks at Texas Tech, who's the more sure thing as an edge rusher?
Now, sure, upside wise, Arvel Reese could be Micah Parsons, but he could also be a real bust because he's not really a pass rusher.
You've got to go Bailey in the sense of you know what you're going to get with him rather than I kind of hope I get this because of what the numbers show me, what he shows me physically.
So I think for the Jets, Bailey's got to be the guy because you know what you're getting more so than I think I know what I'm getting.
I do, unless Sadiq is there at number 16.
I know it sounds crazy to think they would take a tight end, but he's not a normal tight end.
And last year they took Taylor at a second round.
It doesn't hurt to have two talented players at tight end in the NFL today.
If Kenyon Sadiq is there, I think there's a chance they take him.
I don't believe he's going to be there at 16.
