And I thought, you know, people who were judging him based on two weeks, I thought that was a mistake.
And I didn't know that he was going to, you know, have this turnaround that he's had.
But, you know, the guy's half a world away from where he's used to being.
Different culture, different language, different food, different everything.
Everything, you know, and...
I'm sure Canadian and American players feel the same when they go over to Japan or Korea and play there.
It takes a while.
Plus, in the first 10 days of the season, they lose Kirk, and then they lose Barger, and then they lose Springer a little bit later, and all of a sudden...
you know, I mean, he's in the middle of the order, even though he hadn't really started hitting great yet.
And I'm sure he felt some pressure.
So I know Joe and I talked many times about the intentfulness or intent of his swings.
He looked in between, he looked like he was guessing or maybe surprised.
I thought I was getting this and I got that.
And that'll happen to every hitter, obviously, but it seemed to be happening to him a lot, but he just seems so much more, even like, and I said it a couple of times on the air,
even like a little case of happy feet sometimes.
Like he just didn't appear to be set, and I know what my move is, and I'm going to execute my move and put my ace swing on the ball.
And he's doing that now, and he's swinging and missing.
And you know what?
George Springer swung and missed a fair bit last year and had an incredible season.
