He has said every single time, I want to get as deep into the game as I can.
And I thought the last game against Minnesota was pretty impressive.
I was watching that one.
And from what I remember, he didn't have his best stuff.
and his pitch count got up there pretty early, Dylan Cease might be the only guy in the majors where they would send you back out there to start a new inning at 97 pitches.
And he went out in the seventh and got three more outs and got 206 pitches.
You know, I mean, what's incredible about him is he's obviously a workhorse, which is great because they need that.
But I think if you said to him, you've got a choice, five innings, 12 punches, or seven and seven, I think he takes seven and seven.
I'll ask him tomorrow, but...
You know, now tonight, the Angels are a swing and miss factory, right?
And he had 12 strikeouts and five against the Angels last time.
But they also, and Shanawell was one of the guys, like, they were annoying.
They were pesky.
And hopefully he can get...
quicker outs like he can get to two strikes as well as anybody in the game.
But how often have we seen it go from one and two to three and two?
And those are the little, you know, the death by a thousand paper cuts.
Those are the pitches that get them out of there an inning earlier.
So hopefully once he gets them to two, we can put them away quicker here tonight.
Yeah, there's no question.
