Because...
He is not, although we saw a couple of homers in the spring to right center, he's a guy who wants to get the ball in the air to the pole side.
So very promising signs, very good signs.
I think he's going to have to hit the ball to center, but to right center sometimes if they continue to try to pitch him away as much as they can.
But I was really happy for him.
He's supposed to be a big part of this offense.
And, you know, if he can get going, that plugs up one hole.
They weren't getting much from him.
They weren't getting much from Lucas.
They weren't getting much from Springer before he got hurt.
They weren't getting much from Kirk before he got hurt.
They weren't getting much from Barger before he got hurt.
All of these guys have high ceilings.
We know that.
And all of these guys, I think, should be able to do more than they've done so far this year.
And when Springer, Barger, Kirk come back, hopefully the offense is even better, obviously.
But in the meantime, getting Okamoto going and getting Lucas going.
And Ernie Clements quietly swinging the bat very well right now, too.
He's a doubles machine at the moment.
It just gives them, you know, you can dream a little about maybe they can score four or five runs consistently.
