I have been absolutely terrified.

I'm fortunate enough to have the financial privilege to start the process for getting out, getting out of the country.

We kind of realized that in order to do this, the amount of effort that the DOJ would have to go through would be kind of enormous.

The NRA came out and said, we may not like trans people having guns, but we are not, you know, we are opposed to the federal government stripping guns away from any particular, any non-criminal offense.

I was pleasantly surprised.

I didn't necessarily expect them to come out with a statement like,

I think it was very important.

I am feeling significantly better, significantly more positive.

It is people getting activated and getting out of their little helpless cages.

For a long time, I felt like the American populace was basically asleep and was not going to do anything.

And it was just going to sort of silently roll over and let fascism come along.
