At least my experience with the USA, the coaches they pick, they are very aware of what time of year it is.

And I didn't feel like...

Anybody got pushed beyond what they felt like they could do.

No one was being pushed from a pitch count perspective.

I think maybe one guy went back-to-back, one reliever.

You'd have to look that up.

They said, hey, first round, nobody's going back-to-back.

You pitch, the next day is off no matter what.

So in that way, they're not treating it like the playoffs.

They're smart about that.

I can't speak for all the other teams.

For the other countries, I think they might be a little more aggressive with that.

But at least for USA, what they don't want, I don't think, is the reputation of...

hey, you sign up to the WBC, we're going to grind you to win that tournament.

I wish they could.

Even as a competitor, we all wanted to pitch more.

Guys want to go back-to-back, but they're like, nope, we told your team you're not going back-to-back.

Maybe in the championship game, we might have one or two guys available for back-to-back, but they're very cautious about using guys...
