You can kind of say there's progress to be made.

I would be of the view that there are failures to continue building out Lewis when we did the cross city thing, even four or five kilometres a year.

Imagine what we would have after 10 years if we continued to do that.

He could make a real legacy for himself there.

That's the one.

And I would think, speaking purely politically, like, I mean, Jim O'Callaghan is seen as the leader in waiting or the most preferred candidate as of now.

The name Derek Leary is sort of, as we've reported in recent weeks, the name Derek Leary has come into the mix.

But O'Brien is definitely in that mix.

Is that not his greatest strength?

I don't know yeah what do you think I would think that you know it's a bit like Tony Blair trying to be Scottish like you know his greatest strength was that he was English he was a Tory boy you know in Labour clothes like that was his greatest strength and that's how Labour were able to bridge that divide I think Dara O'Brien's greatest strength is that he's a

true dub a bit like Bertie you cannot hide the fact that you're a dub and I think there's a real zest within Fianna Fáil for a dub to be the next leader given it's rested in Cork for so long but I do think there's probably also that rump who would want to see it go west as well that's why Derek Leary's name has come into the mix he's seen as the sort of standard bearer for that particular wing of the party
