They said it goes to the states, right?
And the states are the places where this is being played out.
What I think you're beginning to see is a map that looks a lot like the abortion map, a red state, blue state distinction on places where this is permitted and where it's still banned.
I think that arguments matter and ideas matter.
And even if the case is that states are continuing to legalize this, that

I don't know how far it's going to go before that happens.
I think it's a symptom of something more deeply wrong with our society.
I think it is a sense that being in control is the most important thing in life.
And that's very American.
