I wondered if that would somehow become like a key differentiator, right?
Where you see some of these brands where it's like very clean, no seed oil, you know, whatever the marketing thing is of the day, like if they had that provenance, transparency, something that that would somehow set them apart.
And then, you know, these otherwise informed consumers, which is a very privileged way to consume could then go, of course, it probably would be more expensive, but I was just curious if that would take off or not.
And I'm also, I'm just here to actually bug you about trends that I looked at years ago, but like,
smart greenhouses we've talked about this that company app harvest i looked in two years ago that they had a really cool system my immediately thought for that for that setup was exactly what you said about the endpoints it was just so much connected technology and they had not really thought about cyber security because most startups don't especially in a new tech business right there's these like incubators that i've seen one in ireland that's really cool there's i think purdue has one the university has a really cool incubator with hewlett packard if i'm not mistaken hb has a a
nonprofit wing that does a lot of research in ag tech.
Very cool, but same thing.
But the neat thing about App Harvest was none of their tech, it was their location.
And so it was like Kentucky had like five truck routes out of that Appalachia that could reach all of the US basically in a day drive.
And so it was like if other parts of the food industry
fell down, they kind of had figured out centralization risk on accident, but only for like tomatoes and like a couple other products.
Have we seen more of that like isolated analysis?
I know that smart greenhouses kind of dropped off a little bit, but like where'd that trend go?
Well, because there's so much interdependence.
I mean, that's what I harp on about practice.
I mean, I talk about competence.
I talk about capacity and then capabilities because there's been this huge rush to buy tools and then we don't know how to use the tools.
And then you're only as secure as your weakest link.
And that could actually be one of your tools or the way your deployment works or your coverage and things like that.
Thank you for letting me interview you on your own podcast.
