However, the plan, as described by the White House, lacks details on what could be sweeping changes.
Pandemic-era Obamacare subsidies expired at the end of 2025.
The House last week passed a bill to extend those subsidies for another three years, though it's not clear it can pass the Senate.
The president's new plan would not extend those subsidies.
Without them, Obamacare premiums are predicted to rise by 114 percent, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.
