I think it will have an effect, but not the way that you might think about it.
Foreign policy is generally not something that people vote on, especially in midterms.
And right now we know that economic issues are top of mind for voters.
They care about prices of health care and groceries and education.
And every day that he spends talking about Venezuela or about what he might do to Greenland or Colombia or Cuba or Mexico, it's a day that he's not convincing people that he has an answer to their economic problems.
