electrified by 2030.
That is not going to happen.
Our focus is getting them into construction by 2030 because we have had to go through a planning process that has delayed that.
And that's fair enough.
That's what happens.
This is the first major offshore wind developments since Arklow Bank over 20 years ago.
But I attended yesterday the Wind Energy Ireland Summit on offshore wind.
And the momentum is building there, is really building.
And there's a lot of confidence in the sector that we'll be able to deliver it.
Yeah, and I think actually one gigawatt of offshore wind by 2030 is possible.
OK, that there are five projects there in planning, two in which we expect to get planning decisions this year.
And there's still a lot of confidence in the sector that will build them out.
Now, what we're doing in the meantime, though, is accelerating onshore renewables.
We've over eight gigawatts of renewables in our system.
Now, what's a gigawatt mean?
A gigawatt powers about 500,000 homes.
That's what you're looking at.
That's accelerating year on year.
Solar used to be like two megawatts in our system only 10 years ago.
Now it's two and a half thousand, so 2.5 gigawatts in our system, growing substantially.
