I had an exchange with David a while back, just at Gage.
And I'm talking about a month or so ago.
And I just wanted to β it was after Denver won again.
And I'm like, okay, you weren't ready to join Chicago a year or so ago.
Are you ready now?
And he didn't really answer the question.
This guy's a sharp young guy.
He really, truly is.
There's a sense from some around him that for family reasons, it's not quite right.
But that's not specific to Toronto.
That's just a jump to the NHL.
I mean, maybe he could be convinced financially that the time is right.
I don't know, but that's the sense that I'm getting.
So beyond David Carl, who deserves that sort of level of attention, I do think that that is the type of coach that Toronto would be looking at.
You know, somebody young, somebody relatively inexperienced from a pro perspective, perhaps, but... Well, how can he not be considered, right?
You know, look, I don't like firing coaches, and I don't have information to suggest that Adam Foote isn't going to be retained and remain head coach of the Vancouver Canucks.
But given what we've just seen with the changes there, I know that Henrik and Daniel have a lot of time for what Ryan Johnson did and what Manny Maholdry did in their American League system.
