I'll say if you're trying to save your time and money for an instructor, whether they don't come local to you, cause wherever the hell you're at, like, I mean, Dayton, Ohio, there's not much that comes, you know, in this area, I've got to go either, you know, Cleveland area or, uh,
I'm going several hours to go somewhere else where an instructor would come through.
The other thing to not discount will be competition.
USPSA IDPA competition.
Dear God, you want to get familiar with a gun?
Holy shit, that will get you familiar and comfortable with it.
Not just familiar, but comfortable with your gun.
Comfortable with malfunctions.
You can find all that in the trial by fire.
No, but it's a good way to get you more comfortable.

But if you want to avoid that, even alone,
Go to competitions.
There are people that want to help you and get you going and shooting in a competition.
