it's funny I read the book initially like the film probably came out four years later it was a Michael Lewis it was kind of like his follow-up literary project to Moneyball which he had written as well so I was like I want to read this one too I'd read the Moneyball book so I followed Michael over his career it was phenomenal he ended up winning the Super Bowl like he was literally like taking him with his family and then to hear the dark turn and what he took was really sad because it actually is a very uplifting story from what you're told kind of the window yeah but it's Oscar bait it is I'm hoping to get a murmur here a warmth if this is on over Christmas I'll be stopping

It's a real dad movie.

Costner.

But Costner's the ultimate dad movie actor.

So it's like anything he's in is perfect in that way.

He's so good.

Bull Durham.

Another good Costner sports movie.

That gets a mention later on.

Oh, he's not a star actually.

He's in the lower leagues.

Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon.

And Tim Robbins of Mystic River fame.

It's quite a complicated story in that she picks out a player in this team every year to have a relationship with almost to be their muse.
