He's, you know, thumbed his nose at the Rockets multiple times.
And that's certainly his right.
But it's like if you're going to be the heel, then when the Rockets beat the Spurs and Wimby in a big game, then hell yeah, we're going to have fun with it and we're going to rub his nose at it.
That's how it works.
That's how fandom works.
And so that's my frustration.
You know, Wemby can be whatever he wants to be.
I have no problem with that.
I love, you know, heels in sports.
I love what Carlos Correa has been this decade for the Astros, except for the three years that he was gone.
But, you know, Wemby, I have no problem with him speaking his mind, but it's like, especially if he's going to do that before he's won a title and then the Rockets win a big game like this.
I mean, the fan base has every right to be a little bitter and rub it in his face, right?
Yeah, that's definitely a downer.
With that said, I think if there's any way to overcome it in the short term, some people pointed to the availability of Clint Capella.
And you can lean on him to take a few minutes here or there.
But I think in terms of replacing the high-impact Steven Adams minutes, the only real solution outside of when Shingun is your center is to go Jabari at the five.
And we actually saw that tonight in the fourth quarter.
With Jabari at the five, DFS playing some at the four.
And I think DFS had eight points, I believe, all in the fourth quarter.
And those were instrumental in helping the Rockets finally get some separation and put this thing away.
