I know a lot of it's happening online, but to be able to build a community of people.
And I think that's probably been, from that point to where it is now, has probably been one of the biggest downfalls.
And I know securing funding is really hard for filmmakers in this country.
I know that Taika and Jason and those guys and whoever comes over hire a whole lot of people but you know it's not a secure like I was in the industry for years bro you know I did lighting and rigging and gripping and assistant camera and all that sort of stuff you know just to diversify because I didn't want to be the broke actor making you know seven dollar cups of coffees you know
And so, you know, because the money was good.
But, bro, when you're like, you know, when someone says you've got another job and it doesn't happen for two, three months, you know, or, you know, when you're kind of going, oh, shit, man, when's the next job coming?
And, you know, I know I've heard of people who just the job's confirmed, bro.
And everyone goes to Bali for a holiday, comes back and then the job gets canned.
And so it's a real kind of sporadic lifestyle.
So for my kids, I was like, no, go to university.
You're not getting into the film industry.
Together, we've got four.
Yeah, our big boy Tama, he's in the, he does locations and stuff, and he's in the film industry.
Mary, when she left school, she got into the film industry doing script supervising.
Paumu got into the industry doing bloody craft services.
Amohaire is the youngest, and she's at university.
