NPR's Brian Mann says Mamdani defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Lewa in the city's mayoral race.

In California, voters approved Proposition 50, calling for the redrawing of the state's congressional map.

Later this morning, the U.S.

Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case testing whether President Trump can legally impose tariffs on U.S.

imports through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
