but like honestly you're saying that and I'm wondering I'm not wondering is football in a crisis but is it in a crisis like this is a World Cup year as well you know it's going to go to America and it's going to is it going to revert to this you know physical long throw set pieces like back to what we tried to get away from like what rugby seems to be falling into you know I saw Felix Jones on a podcast saying rugby's great and I thought well you're you're in South Africa you're going to say that like you know everything's going your way and Stephen Kenny you won't believe this Sean O'Connor did a piece with Stephen Kenny he was over with
John Eustace in Derby and then he did a week with Keith Andrews in Brentford and he came back talking about St.
Pat's he said we had quite a technical team last season we were out playing teams but physically we weren't the strongest so we have to make sure we are Stephen Kenny
Yeah.
I think what I always loved about football, though, is that it was a great leveler.
It's like no matter how big, strong, small you were, you had to control the ball with your feet.
You had to manipulate space and people around you and skill always seemed to prevail for the most part.
But I was watching, like I'm looking at Stephen Kenny here saying that, you know, our players weren't physically strong enough.
I was watching, I know he hasn't played all year, so he's probably a bad example, but Harvey Elliott playing with Villa last night.
And my overriding thought was, he doesn't have the pace, he doesn't have the power.
Because Derby was doing that a couple of years ago.
People who are actually useful to you anyway.
Let's take a quick break here.
Talking about skilful, jinky, small, pure footballers.
Raheem Sterling doesn't even have a club.
He's not even playing football anymore.
And you're telling me this game isn't in a crisis?
I just thought it was interesting.
Obviously, this has happened this week.
Chelsea and him mutually parted ways.
