Yes, diesels are more efficient in some aspects.
Power to efficiency is way better than a diesel than it is in a gasoline.
Yeah.
You take a three quarter ton Chevy with a six liter gas.
It's going to get worse fuel mileage than a three quarter ton Chevy with a 6.6 liter Duramax.
It won't care what's behind it.
It will get eight miles to the gallon.
It could be empty.
It could be pulling a 42-foot camper eight miles to the gallon.
You wear flannel in July, don't you?
You're speaking Japanese to me.
I see both sides.
Go ahead, Vince.
To kind of wrap up this gasoline-diesel conversation, I see both sides.
One, intro to diesel is far more expensive to gas.
Two, maintenance of diesel is far more expensive than gas, and you have a lot more shit to worry about.
If you run your diesel out of fuel, you're either going to have to, one, prime your fuel system with a little pump, or back in the day, you had to crack your injection lines, turn your key over, wait until fuel came out, and then tighten everything back up real quick.
So they're more expensive to get into?
Yeah.
A diesel engine is far more expensive than a gasoline engine.
