When you have an all-star closer who has thrown 10 pitches in five days leading up to tonight's game, and you keep him in the bullpen so that Luis Castillo can finish a game for the first time in his life, which he's never pitched in, by the way, and you've got a one-run lead and you've had one goddamn hit the entire night, and all of a sudden you decide for the first time in 10 years
It's a good idea to let Luis Castillo finish the game.
That makes no sense, number one.
Even if the Mariners had won the game, it wouldn't have made any damn sense.

He walks out there to try to pull Castillo and he gets waved off by the umpire.
The fact that he didn't know and the fact that apparently nobody else in the dugout knew that you couldn't do that.
Guys, that was a bad, bad night.
