i think that nailed it and the president's been saying some version of the war is almost over we've achieved our objectives for more than three weeks and i think it was a yeah yeah 23 days ago he told cbs news the war was very complete and you don't have to read that closely between the lines the president does not as much as he enjoys celebrating victory and he enjoys presiding over peace treaties etc he he is not
keen on talking about war talking about long commitments talking about objectives he does try to pivot back to how we've already won and this is a pattern throughout his entire life he's done this in forums very different than war and peace he's done this when he's lost supreme court cases he's done this when he's gone bankrupt etc i expect a version of that i am curious what he says about europe because this is something the administration uh the vice president
mostly have been previewing for weeks, is that, yes, prices are up.
Yes, oil costs more.
But other countries have it worse.
That's true.

There are real crises about fuel supplies in countries that are not the United States that don't have a proxy state in Venezuela right now.
I can understand
in a game of risk way, the grand strategy that the White House has, which is that America is more robust against long-term disruption than other countries.
Talk to voters.
How much do they care about the price of things in other countries or flights from Brussels to Dublin?
Not that much.
But I expect a version of that, given how much he and the other people in the administration have talked about it.
That's a good question because he's done no persuasion, not to repeat myself too much, no persuasion to the country about the goals that other Dave was just talking about.
There is not a lot of worry in this country, if you go by polling or talking to voters,
that Iran, which did not have a nuclear capacity, was a threat, was an imminent threat.
You've seen this in the way Republicans talk about the war.
They have changed their talking points.
I think there's been some freelancing, but they've generally settled on, one, this is a 47-year war.
