If you rush in, man, you can get... Reacting can get you killed.
That's the reality.
And so in these situations, like...
where you have a heightened stress response, this is where self-awareness comes in.
Self-awareness is like, man, I am in a reactive state.
I need to take a step back here.
And it can be as simple as that.
Just stop for a second and just say to yourself, okay, what's going on here?
Straight away, you're now in your creative mind.
You're now able to articulate things a little bit better.
So it's just slowing down.

That's why breathing is so powerful, man.
In those moments where you feel like you're not in control and you tap into your breathing, you're going to notice three things.
You're either breath holding because you're so tense.
You're breathing up into here, into your upper chest, fast breathing.
Or you're breath stacking, normal inhale, short exhale, normal inhale, short exhale.
All of those things are keeping you in a heightened state just by controlling your breathing.
Just be one or two breaths.
So you think about you breathe 20,000 to 30,000 times a day.
