Can hear the birds chirping too.
What are you reading right now?
What's your morning routine to kind of catch up on news and articles and things like that?
Yeah, it's important stuff.
I like the social psych stuff like that as well.
Ryan, I just had John Axford in here.
I actually should have made him stick around because as he's leaving, he's like, oh, by the way,
uh 2013 as ryan dempster is about to beat my team uh for the world series we had a conversation and um anyway what do you he he kind of shared the moment but it's very brief and not on air um he said you guys kind of shared a moment toward the end of that final game in 2013 uh where you guys were head-to-head of the world series obviously uh your side had the red sox uh come out there and that that was it for you do you remember that conversation
Yeah, pretty special what you were able to do too.
And you can hold that World Series over him if it ever comes up.
Ryan, let's talk about these Jays right now.
And Axford actually mentioned earlier, he's like, yo, you should ask Ryan about Bieber because you came back from Tommy John pretty quick.
And I know you came back as a reliever and then eventually transitioned back to starter.
But what was your experience like coming back from Tommy John as quick as you did
So when you look at what he was able to do last year, he comes back from the Tommy John, pitches pretty well for the Blue Jays, and then goes on.
There's an extra month there that maybe you're not budgeting for when you're laying out the rehab and stuff.
And the fact that he's getting this later start to this year, the Blue Jays were very, very careful and methodical with getting him ready.
What are you looking for when he takes the mound tonight?
What kind of signs might be there that he's in a good spot to help the Jays the rest of the way?
He did himself a bit of a disservice in that his debut and his first outing back from Tommy John last year was one run over six innings with nine strikeouts.
