My French isn't what it used to be.
Yeah, OSM.
So anyways, yeah.
But yeah, I mean, man, yeah, Canada has amazing culture, amazing orchestras, and they really take care of their musicians.
But yeah, no, I think, yeah, Montreal, man, that was like one of my favorite orchestras growing up.
we are using the excuse of my guest having the same name as me to have him here david cooper french horn player he currently plays with the los angeles philharmonic when we come back everybody knows the stereotype of classical musicians being absolutely wild having the craziest parties i want to know what classical musicians do when they hang out socially like this is a whole world to me that i don't know there was that tv show i think it was called mozart in the jungle oh mozart in the jungle
And it made them all seem wild and crazy with crazy parties, but I want to know what classical musicians actually do.
The wild, crazy, insane world of high-performing classical musicians.
Their parties are some of the wildest in the world.
At least that's what one TV show would have you believe.
But I'm here with Principal French Horn Player, or Associate Principal, titles don't matter.
Associate, yeah, Associate Principal.
Fair enough.
He's an Associate Principal, Adjunct, Distinguished, I don't know.
These titles in the classical world, it's like academia.
It can never make sense of them.
Well, I'm like the relief pitcher, believe it or not.
So like if you imagine your orchestra as like, you know, a baseball team and then your horn section as like, you know, the pitching staff, the bullpen, the principal horn would be like, you know, the opener, right?
Like your main... You're the closer.
